Main Role

Section 18.-

The Transparency and Public Accountability Department shall create and evaluate the transparency and public accountability principles and criteria that aid in the associates accessing truthful, appropriate and satisfactory information.

Powers and Responsibilities

Section 19.-

The Transparency and Public Accountability Department shall have the following powers and responsibilities:

I. Recommend to the Council the relevant information on INAP’s management that should be shared with the associates.

II. Assess the implementation and observance of recommendations on transparency and accountability and report the results to the Council.

III. Serve as an advisory body to the Council in evaluating transparency and public accountability proposals related to the reports that must be submitted to the General Assembly.

IV. Issue opinions on matters and topics that affect transparency and public accountability.

V. Review and suggest modifications to the information that, in compliance with Section 29 of the Bylaws, the Council must publish on INAP’s website.

VI. Propose to the Council the appointment of an External Auditor.

VII. Weigh in on the practicality of the financial statements, which must be presented to the General Assembly.
