MEXICAN OFFICIAL STANDARDS

INAP offers counseling and support services for the implementation of processes, standards, and requirements that enable public and private organizations to comply with the obligations established in the Mexican Official Standards.

We currently specialize in the following:

The NOM‑035 establishes the elements required to identify, analyze, and prevent psychosocial risk factors in the workplace and to promote a favorable organizational environment for all workers in public, private, and social‑sector organizations.

Protecting the physical and mental well‑being of employees contributes to the effective functioning of organizations and results in greater productivity by optimizing operating and production costs. A positive work environment helps reduce staff turnover and strengthens employees’ sense of belonging.

The NOM‑035 applies to all workplaces, with slightly different requirements based on the number of employees, grouped as follows:

  1. a) Up to 15 workers
  2. b) Between 16 and 50 workers
  3. c) More than 50 workers

Key actions for implementation include:

  • Establishing, implementing, maintaining, and disseminating a policy for the prevention of psychosocial risks.
  • Assessing and analyzing psychosocial risk factors inside the work environment.
  • Adopting control measures and actions based on results.

The CECAP offers the following solutions for the implementation of the NOM‑035:

  • Training programs for the prevention of developing psychosocial risk factors and the promotion of favorable work environments.
  • Assessments to identify workers exposed to severe traumatic events; identification of psychosocial risk factors; and evaluation of the work environment.
  • Design of a “Psychosocial Risk Prevention Policy”.
  • Develop an Action Plan to implement control and prevention measures for psychosocial risks.

There are three implementation methods, depending on your organization’s needs:

  • On‑site consulting, implementation, evaluation, and training.
  • Evaluation and/or training through digital tools.
  • Implementation, evaluation, training, diagnostics, and follow‑up through a cloud‑hosted digital platform.

Training, analysis, and diagnostics are aligned with the institution’s strategic goals, alongside personalized counselling and support throughout the entire implementation process.

The NMX‑R‑025‑SCFI‑2015 promotes the implementation of equality and non‑discrimination principles, prioritizes the prevention of workplace violence, harassment, and sexual harassment, through fostering respect and protection of human rights.

To achieve this, the NMX‑025 establishes requirements and practices that public, private, and social institutions must implement within their management and human‑resources departments.

Its main pillars include:

  • Incorporating gender perspective into recruitment, selection, mobility, and training processes, ensuring equal pay.
  • Implementing actions to prevent workplace violence, including gender‑based violence and sexual harassment.
  • Adopting best practices that support work–life balance, family responsibilities, and personal wellbeing, ensuring equal treatment and opportunities.

The CECAP offers the following solutions for the implementation of the NMX‑025:

  • Situational diagnostics and Action Plans.
  • Labor Equality Policy and a Protocol for Prevention, Response, and Sanction of Workplace Violence.
  • Training programs aligned with the Mexican Standard on Labor Equality and Non‑Discrimination; so that the workplace will be inclusive, non‑sexist, and allow open communication while also keeping a proper prevention and response to workplace violence roadmap.
  • Internal Audits to evaluate the implementation of equality practices.
  • Evaluation and analysis of workplace climate and perceptions of non‑discrimination from all its participants
